I would probably say that most films have their place in the world. I do however find that when it comes to critically acclaimed films, I tend to not like them so much. I mean, artsy provocative films don’t tend to be among my top.
I’m sure a lot of people will find my list strange as some will be films that won oscars etc. But I’m me, and I have my own opinion as do the people who liked them.
1. Brokeback Mountain (I just didn’t like how it made me feel afterwards…I mean, I was thinking, why did I have to witness this depressing story-the homoerotic aspect didn’t bother me, it was the sad existence the two men lived)
2. Burn After Reading (totally pointless and barely even funny)
3. The Ugly Truth (another pointless movie, even tho I love both Heigel and Butler, I just don’t like this movie)
4. Blindness (interesting concept, but I felt icky after watching it)
5. Eyes Wide Shut (I wished this movie was good, but it wasn’t, it had so much potential…)
6. Mistress of Spices (Aishwaria Rai’s attempt at Hollywood was a failure)
There are many more I’m sure, but I can’t believe how incredibly hard it was to come up with this list.
